What is Aptos Thread Lifting?

The original modern lift, perfected in Russia.

Aptos thread lifting is a premium imported thread system developed by Dr. Marlen Sulamanidze in 1996. Aptos threads use a multi-directional barb design intended to anchor and reposition tissue while supporting collagen remodeling. Different Aptos product lines may be selected according to anatomy, laxity and treatment goals. Aptos availability at Newline Clinic is not confirmed in the current clinic price materials and should be checked during consultation.

How it works

The science ,
simplified.

Understanding the mechanism helps you set realistic expectations and choose the right brand for your goals.

01

Premium lift assessment

The treating physician evaluates facial laxity, tissue thickness and whether a thread lift is suitable for the degree of sagging and the patient's goals.

02

Topical numbing

Local or topical anaesthesia may be used according to the planned thread technique and treatment area. Comfort measures are confirmed during consultation.

03

Aptos system placement

Aptos systems include different thread designs intended for varying lift vectors and degrees of laxity. The exact product and technique, if available, must be confirmed by the treating physician.

04

Instant result, 2-week settling

Lift can be visible immediately, while swelling, tightness and tissue settling may continue over the following weeks. Longevity varies by product, anatomy, technique and individual response.

Treatment areas

Where we inject ,
and why.

Each area has its own anatomical target, typical thread requirement and result timeline. The treating physician will recommend a personalized plan during consultation.

Aptos lift areas, concerns addressed, thread count, result timeline

Frequently asked

Aptos Thread Lift
questions.

How much does Aptos thread lifting cost in Busan?
Aptos-specific pricing is not confirmed in Newline Clinic's current price materials. Please confirm product availability and final pricing during consultation. Current Newline materials separately list Mint thread at ₩120,000 per thread and N-Cog / Scaffold at ₩80,000, with the unit for N-Cog / Scaffold not specified.
How is Aptos different from PDO threads?
Aptos and standard PDO thread systems differ in material, thread design, anchoring pattern and expected duration. The appropriate option depends on anatomy, laxity, goals and product availability; the treating physician should select the technique.
How long do Aptos results last?
The source treatment guide describes Aptos as a longer-duration absorbable thread system, but actual longevity varies by product, placement, anatomy, metabolism and aftercare. Individual results and maintenance timing should be discussed at consultation.
Who is the right candidate for Aptos?
Candidates are generally patients seeking non-surgical lifting for facial laxity who understand the limitations of thread lifting. Suitability depends on skin thickness, degree of sagging, medical history and treatment goals.
Is Aptos safe?
Thread lifting has known risks including swelling, bruising, dimpling, asymmetry, palpable or visible threads, infection and, rarely, nerve or vascular injury. A licensed physician should assess suitability, anatomy and product choice before treatment.
What's the recovery time for Aptos?
The source treatment guide describes several days of swelling and tightness with gradual settling over the following weeks. Recovery varies by thread type, number of threads, treatment area and individual response.
Will I look pulled or unnatural with Aptos?
The goal of thread lifting is controlled repositioning rather than an exaggerated change. The degree of lift should be planned around existing anatomy and realistic expectations.
Can I combine Aptos with other treatments?
Thread lifting may be combined with other treatments in selected patients, but sequencing should be individualized. The treating physician should decide whether energy-based lifting, botulinum toxin, fillers or skin treatments should be performed before or after threads.
How does Aptos compare to surgical facelift?
Thread lifting is less invasive than surgical facelift but generally cannot reproduce the degree or durability of surgical tissue repositioning. For more advanced laxity, a plastic-surgery consultation may be more appropriate.
Do you offer English-speaking consultations for Aptos?
Newline Clinic supports Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese. A Chinese-speaking coordinator is available full-time, and English/Japanese interpretation can be arranged. Contact the clinic by WhatsApp to confirm Aptos availability before planning treatment.
