Identifying the target muscle
A Newline Clinic physician assesses which muscle is causing the bulk — for calves, typically the gastrocnemius (the visible 'diamond' at the back of the calf); for shoulders, the upper trapezius (the muscle that rises behind the neck when tense).
Multi-point injection
Large muscles need higher doses spread across multiple points. Calf: 6–8 injection points per leg. Trapezius: 8–10 points per shoulder. The entire treatment takes 10–15 minutes.
Gradual atrophy and slimming
Over 4–6 weeks, the muscle gradually reduces from lack of use, creating a slimmer silhouette. Trapezius shows faster results (3–4 weeks) because the muscle is smaller; calves take 6 weeks for full effect.
